STRESS TESTING AND TROUBLESHOOTING YOUR PC WITH OCCT
What is OCCT?
OCCT is a program that is used to stress test and monitor the stability of a computer's components. It can help users determine if their computer components are running at their optimal performance levels and if they are stable, or if they are experiencing issues such as overheating or instability. It can help users identify hardware issues such as damaged or malfunctioning components by providing detailed information about the component's performance and stability. OCCT can be used as a benchmarking tool, to determine the performance of your computer's components and compare them with other systems.
How to use:
- Download the OCCT software from this website, by clicking the download button. Please download the stable version only, not the testing version. Once downloaded you should be able to open the software straight away, and will be greeted with the following screen.
- Then you need to select the type of test you want to run, which has been highlighted in red. The test you need to run will depend on the issue you're having. The Customer Service Agent dealing with your issue will specify which tests you need to run.
- Once you have the test selected, leave all the settings as default and click the play button at the bottom. You will then see a 10-second countdown, after which you can press play again. The test will then begin on the selected component for 30 minutes.
- After the test is complete you should see something like this. Please take screenshots of anything you see on the screen, as any data about the parts may be helpful.
- Ensure to take pictures of as many metrics as you can such as temperatures, power and frequency.
Overall, OCCT is a useful tool for anyone who wants to optimize their computer's performance, ensure stability and identify any hardware issues.
